Brooke is a lawyer and governance advisor, deeply passionate about helping not-for-profits to achieve their goals and make a positive impact. Brooke has a strong track record providing advice on legal, governance, regulatory compliance and risk issues. Accumulating valuable knowledge through hands-on experience within various not-for-profits, such as those dedicated to delivering care services, supporting children and young people and advancing human rights, Brooke understands the way not for profits work and the opportunities and challenges facing their founders, directors and teams. Brooke has also worked at three Government agencies (including a major regulator) in both legal and compliance teams.
Brooke has experience as a non-executive director and has previously partnered with fair trade and social enterprises in underprivileged communities overseas to develop sustainable products. She is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and holds a law degree, Master of Laws specialising in commercial and government laws and an honours degree in psychology.
